Where will the BDS graduates go?

In Rajasthan itself more than 1000 dentists graduate. Less than 33% have money to start their dental clinics. Most Girls choose the easy way out get married? What will the boys do?
Many are writing IAS examinations, some are doing computer courses, some are taking up journalism and many are looking at MBA as an option?
If any of the dentists out their have an opinion please contribute.

  1. IN TODAYS SCENARIO, A CAR DRIVER GETS 10,OOO/ PLUS OVERTIME. A B.D.S FRESHER IS READY TO WORK FOR FREE BECAUSE THERE IS NO OTHER OPTION.
SOME SMART GUYS ALSO CHARGE FRESHERS TO WORK WITH THEM, THAT IS NOT SO SMART AFTER ALL. TODAY'S FRESHER IS TOMORROWS COLLEAGUE.
HAVE A HEART GUYS AND GET A MOVE ON.
ALL BRANCHES OF PROFESSIONALISM FACE THIS DILEMNA, BUT WE ARE GOING OVERBOARD BECAUSE THERE IS NO LONGER A FLOOR TO DANCE NEITHER A ROOF TO LOOK AT.

  3. Thank you dr lanka and Dimple- there is another option the bds graduates must be ready to relocate to the rural areas- rural dentistry is still wide open - only problem is that all of us want malls, burgers and inox theatres so we cannot think about it?

  4. I think there's nothin wrong if v want malls, burgers n inox. There is 70% population of india living in rural areas, many of d dental professionals r also coming out of that population only, n after studying so hard its very normal if 1 expects 2 move out 2 a big place , to see n experience a luxurious life.bt v also know d sad fact , that only rural areas r left 4 us 2 practice.
